WB Marketing has been the agency of record for Tourism and Economic Development in the City of Manassas since November 2018, and was brought on board as the agency of record for Parks, Culture, and Recreation in January 2022. With a major renovation of the City Museum underway, Manassas Parks, Recreation, and Culture enlisted WB Marketing to promote the museum’s store and increase awareness around its temporary relocation. Through digital awareness and lead-generation campaigns, the department has seen a steady flow of sales, despite the challenges posed by the renovation.

We partner with Economic Development to convey Manassas’ unique position as an incredible place to live and work. Using a variety of channels and methodologies, we assist the department in positioning Manassas as a contender for businesses and top-level talent. These methods include the design and production of print materials, social media content creation and management across three channels, digital campaign strategy and management, public relations, earned media campaigns and the management of two websites.

 Through our work with Tourism, we help promote Manassas as a destination to play. In 2022, we designed, built and launched a new, responsive and optimized website to be a central location for all the City’s tourism needs. The site provides residents and potential visitors with all they need to know to visit, vacation and entertain in Manassas through directories for shopping, dining, events and things to do. Since this was a new site build, we began the process by identifying and reviewing similar sites for design, content and functionality inspiration. Then, we constructed a proposed site map including a brief outline of content for every page. From there, we were able to construct flat mock-ups of the homepage and main navigational pages for review by our partners at the City.  

Our team also manages the digital and in-store promotion of a City-wide electronic gift card program. With over 30 participating retailers and restaurants, the program is an incredible way to support the City through its small businesses. We designed, printed and personally distributed window clings, tent cards and other collateral to participating businesses. Additionally, during distribution, we assisted with collateral placement and discussed the merits of the program and the gift card purchasing process with employees to help foster grassroots interest in the program and bolster sales. 

Our clients are our priority. Our collaborative and accessible work style demonstrates this and allows us to work across departments, with our clients’ different vendors, and with clients’ internal teams to ensure work is done efficiently and well.
